RSE Scramble 02!
Anti has 3 teammates now, so she starts training them in earnest. At first she's very watchful to make sure none of them start freaking out like Spaz did, but all seems well with this trio, and they steadily become stronger. She travels back to the previous routes, challenging the trainers she initially evaded.

Later, she returns to Rustboro, and decides to explore the city a little more thoroughly. She enters the Cut guy's house, who seems more than happy at Anti's intrusion, and gives away the first HM, needless flattery included.

He mentions something about a badge being needed to use it in the field though, so Anti keeps that in mind.

Anti finds it weird that she suddenly didn't have to go to school anymore when Mom decided she should be a trainer. Not that she loved school or anything, but sitting in class at the trainer's school, she can feel a bit of her former life's normalcy coming back. Even though she can't stick around for long, she does get some decent tips on things like status effects, otherwise known as "every single way your opponent can mess you up". The teacher, happy to see someone who apparently already knows some of the ropes, gives Anti a Quick Claw.

She then heads up Routes 115 and 116, finding both to be dead ends. Apparently 116 was supposed to go through to Verdanturf Town, but they had to stop the tunnel project or else all the Whismur would get mad and eat them.

Anti doesn't blame them.

Heading back to Rustboro, Anti decides to try her luck at the gym. After hearing that it has a Rock motif, she grins evilly.

Minutes later, Anti and Toadstool are standing in front of Roxanne, with piles of knocked-out Geodudes twitching in their wake.

"You certainly seem confident," Roxanne comments, "but I won't go down so easily."

"Says the one who's about to get hit super-effective," Anti retorts. "Let's go."

Unfortunately for Roxanne, she can't hit the Rock Tomb button enough times to completely bury Toadstool, and Anti eventually wins. Roxanne gracefully accepts the loss, and hands over the Stone Badge. Anti didn't think winning it would make her that happy, but it does, for some reason. Roxanne adds that possessing that badge will allow use of the Cut HM outside of battle, and she hands over a TM of the move she spammed the entire battle, as well. What with all the money and loot that comes from winning against gym leaders, Anti starts to think maybe she should make a habit of this.
